Then you use one of those infant ear syringe bulbs, fill with warm water and flush out the ear. If this does not work and it be repeated in 3days.

I think you should look into eustachian tube dysfunction as a possible cause of your blocked ear, especially since it followed an upper respiratory virus and if your dr sees no infection. You dont need to have pain to have ETD.

Jul 2, 2010 · Just fyi. my problems due to the ETD include frequest ear infections, multiple tubes which did nothing but cause hole in eardrum, mastoid infection/mastoidectomy, cholesteatoma and patched eardrum that had to be surgically corrected, meniers' disease, irreversible conductive hearing loss, negative ear pressure.
