Apr 25, 2007 · I have had some burning pain in the ball of my right foot for a few months. It would get really bad at work, I'm an RN and on my feet all day. I saw a podiatrist a few months ago and he did Xrays and gave me a lidocaine/steroid injection for a possible neuroma, which didn't really help, and made me some orthotics, which I can't wear.

Feb 8, 2009 · My current foot doctor said I have a stump plus a new neuroma in the ball of the same foot!! But because of the RSD, he cannot perform surgery to fix the stump/neuroma problem. Surgery is a big no-no when you have RSD as it inflames all the nerves and makes a painful situation incredibly more painful..

It also makes the foot ache if I put pressure on the ball and toes and it can also make your toes feel numb and tingly because the bursa puts pressure on your nerve. The toe pain goes immediately I lift my foot up, but the sole can ache for a time.

Oct 4, 2010 · The ultrasound came back and indicated a "small" neuroma between my little toe and 2nd toe, but also a "mass" under the ball of the left foot, so the doctor suggested getting an MRI. The MRI confirmed that there was a bursa under the ball of my left foot, and the doctor then said he wanted to try an "alcohol" shot. That didn't help either.

I also had several different surgeires and finally went with the surgery to remove it from the bottom of the foot. my doc impanted the end of the nerve into health muscle so I wounldn't get a stump neuroma. I did end up having about 4 more surgeries due to a problems with my foot/body not wanting to heal.

I am really concerned. The doctor just took x-rays and said everything looks good. He used a "tuning fork" on my foot and said that everything was okay.

Jan 12, 2006 · Hello.. The ball of my left foot and middle toes are really sore. I've tried soaking and it doesn't seem to be getting better. Someone said it could be gout but it's not swelling much. I have no clue just don't want it to be a blood flow problem. Does anyone have an idea or had a simliar problem??
