Plastic materials have better UV protection than glass. For an uncoated CR39 lens, the cut off is 350nm, and for higher index lenses the cut off can be around 380nm.

GrandVision has completed a deal to acquire Tesco Opticians – paving the way for Vision Express to incorporate 209 stores into its wider network.
