A new report provides an update on AJ Styles after he suffered an apparent injury on the October 4 episode of WWE SmackDown. Styles returned on Friday’s show; he had been absent from WWE programming since June.

The injury AJ Styles suffered on WWE SmackDown was not part of a storyline. Styles appeared to injure his ankle mid-match against Carmelo Hayes on Friday night, which eventually led to the match being stopped early.

The WWE Tag Team titles will be on the line in a triple threat ladder match. Champions The Bloodline (Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa) are defending their belts against The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) and DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommasso Ciampa).
