KEF has upgraded its Q Series speakers with its Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT), delivering high-end audiophile sound at a fair price.

KEF has been making speakers in the UK since the 1960s. The brand has unveiled its 12th Generation Q Series speakers and the range includes plenty of tech innovation.

KEF has unveiled the latest generation of its Q Series of loudspeakers featuring 'MAT' sound absorption technology and 12th-gen Uni-Q driver.

KEF makes sensational speakers such as the five-star KEF LSX II LT, and its highly rated Q Series for audio and home cinema listening has picked up tons of awards and recommendations. That's thanks to their combination of high-end tech and relatively affordable price tags. Now that Q Series has been given a massive upgrade.

KEF has announced the first revamping of its entry-level Q Series since 2017. The incoming Q Series Meta comprises two 3-way floorstanders (Q7 Meta & Q 11 Meta), two 2-way standmounts (Q1 Meta & Q3 Meta), a 3-way standmount (Q Concerto Meta), a 3-way centre channel (Q6 Meta), a 2-way Atmos module (Q8 Meta) and a 2-way on-wall speaker (Q4 Meta).

The Q Series integrates MAT, a complex maze-like structure, to elevate the latest 12th generation Uni-Q driver array to new levels of accuracy and clarity. Each of the intricate channels absorbs a specific frequency and, when combined, act as an acoustic black hole to absorb 99% unwanted sound.
