Dennis Allen and Derek Carr made unfortunate history together. Allen is the first NFL coach to be fired by two teams with the same starting quarterback:

Following the dismissal of Saints head coach Dennis Allen, calls inquiring about Marshon Lattimore's availability are starting to roll in.

Dennis Allen released a statement via the team's social media following the Saints firing him on Monday morning.

NFL trade deadline is tomorrow.  The trade deadline used to be the first Tuesday after Week 8, but the owners, who clearly forgot to look at any sort of calendar, decided to move the deadline to the Tuesday after Week 9 this year.

While making a post about the saints, as in those in the Christian faith who are viewed as holy and close to God, Pope Francis accidentally tagged the NFL team. To make the timing worse, they had just fired their head coach.

Following their seventh straight loss, the New Orleans Saints fired Dennis Allen. He is now the second NFL head coach to lose his job this season, after the New York Jets fired Robert Saleh on Oct. 8.
