A voter fraud criminal investigation is underway in Mesa County as Colorado election officials say that at least a dozen fraudulent ballots were submitted in the county, with three having been counted.

Mesa County District Attorney Dan Rubinstein has launched a criminal investigation into the stolen ballots. The news comes almost a month after former Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters was sentenced to nine years of incarceration for her role in breaching county voting equipment.
