The U.N. peacekeeping force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) said in a statement that an Israeli army bulldozer had demolished an observation tower and perimeter fence of a U.N. position in Marwahin in southern Lebanon on Sunday.

The peacekeeping force accused Israel of deliberately demolishing a UNIFIL tower and a fence in ‘flagrant violation of international law.

The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants on Monday condemned Israel's repeated attacks on personnel and positions of the United Nations Interim Force In Lebanon (UNIFIL), calling on the international community to take a firm stance to support peacekeeping forces.

Israel has once again been scolded by the United Nations' peacekeeping force in Lebanon, which accused Israeli fighters of bulldozing one of its observation towers near Marwahin.
