Tommy Edman smacked a third inning fastball into the left field seats for his first homer this postseason to help the Los Angeles Dodgers get past the New York Mets for the final ticket to the World Series.

The Dodgers clinched their record 25th NL pennant and first at home since 1988, when they beat the Mets in seven games.

With a 10-5 victory over the New York Mets in Game 6 on Sunday, L.A. advances to its fourth World Series in eight seasons and its first since winning it all in 2020. The Dodgers will face the New York Yankees, who dispatched the Cleveland Guardians in five games in the ALCS, in Game 1 on Friday.
