After another night of violence in parts of the city, Edinburgh City Council leader Cammy Day has called for those arrested to face fast-tracked court cases.

Edinburgh police have come under fire once more from youths hurling fireworks in the Niddrie area. Officers have closed Niddrie Main Road and asked the public to avoid the area. This follows disorder over the previous two years. Keep up with all the latest here on our live blog.
