Residents of the historic town of Marshall, population roughly 800, are trying to dig out from the damage wrought by Hurricane Helene

Swannanoa resident Zach Dasher joined 'Fox & Friends First' to discuss the 'complete devastation' left by Hurricane Helene and how he is taking action to help his community.

All North Carolina state parks in the western part of the state, including two in the Charlotte area, are closed through at least Oct. 31.

The entire Blue Ridge Parkway is closed in the wake of damage left by Hurricane Helene. According to the National Park Service, the closure is going to last indefinitely while crews work to clear storm damage and make sure the park is safely checked over.
