Hurricane Helene, a powerful Category 4 storm when it made landfall, carved out a devastating path from Florida’s Gulf Coast to Tennessee. Reports of destruction and record-level flooding stretched more than 600 miles. As of Saturday, officials had reported at least 60 deaths from the storm.

Recovery efforts after Hurricane Helene are happening around the clock in Georgia. FOX 5 Atlanta heard from FEMA Administrator Deanne Christwell about the plan for restoration.

Hurricane Helene isn’t only expected to damage homes and vehicles; it has already resulted in at least 15 deaths and one injury, with more fatalities and injuries anticipated.
