It’s been less than a month since the season started and the Los Angeles Kings played the Chicago Blackhawks in their fourth afternoon game so far. It’s mind-blowing that the Kings somehow lost 4-3 to the Blackhawks in a shootout.

LOS ANGELES -- Tyler Bertuzzi tied the game with 31 seconds remaining for the Chicago Blackhawks, who rallied for a 4-3 shootout win against the Los Angeles Kings at Crypto.com Arena on Saturday.

Leading 2-0 after two periods, the Kings give up a goal in the final minute of the third period before falling to the Chicago Blackhawks in a shootout.

The Los Angeles Kings certainly carried their strong play from Wednesday against Vegas into Saturday afternoon’s matchup against the Chicago Blackhawks. The only problem was they couldn’t sustain that effort over 60 minutes.
