Costco is recalling smoked salmon products over possible listeria contamination. Listeria is a bacteria that contaminates foods and can cause listeriosis, which is the third-leading cause of death from foodborne illness in the US. Listeria can spread in food processing facilities, according to the US Center for Disease Controls and Prevention.

Costco recalled Rana Chicken Truffle Carbonara and Tagliatelle Grilled White Chicken & Portabello Mushroom Sauce as part of a recall involving BrucePac, the pre-cooked meat producer that’s recalled over 11 million pounds of products, from salads and sandwiches to frozen meals, due to listeria concerns, according to USA TODAY.
