The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had issued yellow alerts for six districts in Kerala on Sunday, including Thiruvananthapuram, Idukki, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, and Wayanad, as the state continues to experience moderate rainfall.

Heavy rainfall in Kerala's Wayanad on Monday resulted in a flood-like situation shortly after the district suffered devastating landslides in July, killing over 200 people. The India Meteorological Department issued yellow alerts for several districts including Thiruvananthapuram and Wayanad.
