Walmart has already introduced the nationwide, same-day pharmacy delivery in six states: Arkansas, Missouri, New York, Nevada, South Carolina, and Wisconsin. Walmart plans to make the service available to customers in 49 states by 2025.

According to Walmart, customers can choose from different delivery options. Through “Same-Day Scheduled Deliveries,” customers can schedule their delivery for a specific time that best fits their schedule. “On-Demand” and “Express Delivery” will have your prescription at your door within 30 minutes.

The new service is already available in six states, and gives the supermarket giant a leg up against struggling drugstores like CVS and Walgreens.

Walmart has begun a pilot program that delivers to people's doors prescription drugs and other items they order and pay for online.
