Sony showed the first trailer for the newest “ Karate Kid ” movie, titled “Karate Kid: Legends,” at New York Comic Con on Friday night. The upcoming movie, releasing in theaters on May 30, unites franchise stars Ralph Macchio and Jackie Chan and introduces a new student named Li Fong, played by Ben Wang.

The first trailer for Karate Kid: Legends premiered at New York Comic Con – and it looks like an epic return to the beloved martial arts franchise.

Aside from influencing a Coldplay song, Ralph Macchio is best known for playing Daniel LaRusso in the Karate Kid franchise. He starred alongside Pat Morita and Elisabeth Shue in the original movie and reprised the role in the two sequel movies.
