Pete Davidson gave fans a look into his tattoo removal process in a surprise guest appearance on “Saturday Night Live.” During the sketch, Davidson wore a short-sleeved graphic T-shirt that revealed the comedian’s nearly complete removal process of his forearm tattoo sleeves.

This week, the actor stepped out to preview The Room at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, looking barely recognizable with most of his once signature tattoos now gone. If you recall, Davidson reportedly started removing some of his 100-plus tattoos in 2020 because of how long they take to cover for movies.

The FDA notes that there are currently no approved tattoo removal ointments, creams or DIY removal kits. At-home kits reportedly consist of retinol, bleaching creams, and peeling agents that are unable to reach tattoo pigment that is deep in the skin. The agency stresses that they can also cause skin rashes, burns, or scars.
