The Los Angeles Dodgers are heading to the World Series after they beat the New York Mets 10-5 in Game 6 of the National League Championship Series at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on Sunday. The Dodgers won the best-of-seven series 4-2 and will play the New York Yankees in the World Series.

The Dodgers clinched their record 25th NL pennant and first at home since 1988, when they beat the Mets in seven games.

In the preseason, the Los Angeles Dodgers were the clear-cut favorites to win the World Series. By adding Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto to a team that won 100 games last year, the Dodgers entered the season with the potential to be an all-time great team.
