The San Francisco Giants and President of Baseball Operations Buster Posey have named Vice President of Professional Scouting Zack Minasian as the club’s new General Manager, the MLB reported on Saturday.

Posey didn't initially consider Minasian when he compiled a list of candidates. On Friday, Posey introduced him as the Giants' next GM.
