The push for smarter AI extends beyond phones, laptops and other personal computing devices. Cars are getting smarter, too, and the latest entry into Qualcomm's Digital Chasis line of chips for connected cars and smart cars looks to speed up that process.

Qualcomm has a new chip for flagship phones, and the best part is that it uses an improved version of the Oryon CPU architecture that the Snapdragon X Elite chips brought to Windows PCs earlier this year.

Qualcomm just launched the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip for smartphones today, but the second-generation Oryon CPU core within could hint at a possible new Snapdragon X Elite chip.
