ReFantazio is how the game doesn't just borrow elements from its Persona heritage but instead opts to innovate and improve upon them, setting a high bar to clear for other RPGs (from Atlus or otherwise) in the process.

ReFantazio, you and your party will head to Martira for your first challenge. While staying there, you'll have the chance to gain a few more Followers and unlock new Archetypes, adding to your combat options.

Metaphor: Refantazio is a spiritual successor to the Persona series which, just like Atlus' previous JRPG franchise, contains mythical entities that grant the player supernatural powers. Called archetypes, there are a total of 47 of them in Refantazio, so choosing one over the other can be tough as any character can learn any archetype.

More's quests in Metaphor: ReFantazio will prioritize finding and unlocking new families of Archetypes along with leveling them up to help players branch out and see what all is out there. While a lot of Archetypes are unlocked naturally by progressing the story, some can be missed if you don't know where to look.
