Hurricane Oscar is forecast to make landfall along the northeastern coast of Cuba Sunday afternoon or evening, according to the National Hurricane Center.

The center in Miami said the storm’s center arrived in the Cuban province of Guantanamo, near the city of Baracoa, on Sunday evening. Its maximum sustained winds were near 80 mph.

Portions of eastern Cuba are on alert for Hurricane Oscar, which is expected to make landfall later on Sunday afternoon or evening. This comes after the Category 1 hurricane made landfall in the Bahamas earlier on Sunday morning.
