Bloober Team has announced Cronos: The New Dawn, a sci-fi survival horror game.

Bloober Team unveiled what it’s been working on at today’s Xbox Partner Showcase event. The studio showed off a cinematic trailer for Cronos: The New Dawn, which is a brand-new IP. The developer describes the game as “a twisted time travel story set in an unforgiving post-apocalyptic future.

When PC Gamer reported on the cancellation of Project C’s partnership with Private Division, it said that Bloober Team was “prepared for potential alternatives”, and that work on Project C was continuing. That “potential alternative”, it seems, is Bloober Team self-publishing Cronos: The New Dawn.

Bloober Team’s latest, Silent Hill 2 was released earlier this week to widespread critical acclaim, and currently has a Metacritic score of 87. VGC’s Silent Hill 2 review says the remake “proves the doubters wrong”, calling it “a faithful take on a survival horror classic”.
