Nationalist Congress Party leader and former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique was shot dead by three men in Mumbai's Bandra area on October 12.

The Mumbai police probing the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique has issued a look-out circular (LOC) against three accused, including main shooter Shivkumar Gautam, to prevent them from fleeing the country, an official said on Thursday, October 17, 2024.

Mumbai Crime Branch is recording detailed statements of the security personnel assigned to late NCP leader Baba Siddique, who was assassinated last week. The move came after his son, MLA Zeeshan Siddique,

Mumbai police met MHA officials to seek custodial interrogation of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi in the case of former minister Baba Siddique's murder. Bishnoi's involvement was discovered post-Salman Khan's residence firing.

Baba Siddique was assigned 2+1 security, which meant two security personnel during the day and one during the night.

Following the murder of politician Baba Siddique, Mumbai Crime Branch officials have confirmed to mid-day that they have written to Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA), requesting files and details of SRA projects.

Four accused have already been arrested in the matter so far. The other two named in the LOC are the “co-conspirator.”

Slain NCP leader Baba Siddique's MLA son Zeeshan Siddique on Thursday issued a statement over the killing of his father. "My father lost his life protecting and saving the lives and homes of poor innocent people.

Baba Siddique was fatally shot outside his Bandra office, succumbing to injuries at Lilavati Hospital. His last rites were held with state honours. A political figure since his youth, he served multiple terms as an MLA for Bandra West and had strong ties to the Dutt family.
